Apply to Vote By Mail
Any registered voter may vote by “absentee ballot” also known as “voting by mail.” The last day the county election office may accept applications by mail is 7 days before an election. A voter may receive a ballot in the county election office, in person, up to and including Election Day. However, if you know you are going to vote absentee, it is in your best interest to apply as early as possible.
The Contra Costa County Elections Division can provide you more details.
